I know you use seche for too coat, but i hear it can get thick half way through the bottle? Is this true? And if so, what do you do? Recommend any other too coats?
It definitely does get quite thick after use, so the best solution is to buy yourself some nail polish thinner (NOT remover), and add that to the bottle. Keep adding it until it reaches its old consistency. You will have to do this more as your bottle gets low, but it’s cheaper than throwing away half the bottle every time it gets thick. They make a special thinner just for Seche Vite, called Restore (also by Seche Vite). I liked the way that made the top coat work, but it doesn’t last long unfortunately.
I’ve used only one other quick-dry topcoat besides Seche Vite, and it’s by China Glaze. It’s called Fast-Forward Top Coat. It doesn’t dry as quickly as Seche Vite, and doesn’t seem to work as well with thicker coats. It does smell better though. Haha!
I'm sure it's been asked, but how do you apply your polish. You have beautifully clean lines. Also how long do you generally wait between applying layers?
Keep your layers thin. I usually paint one layer on one full hand, then one layer on the other full hand, then back to the first hand for subsequent layers. That’s usually enough dry time.
To keep your lines clean, take your time. Once the first layer is down, you will have an easier time following the paint already laid. Cleanup is also a major player in the lines. I clean up around my cuticles using a small angled brush dipped in 100% acetone.
I have a DIY manicure page on my blog here that might help too.
